Scientific Name: Pyxicephalus adspersus
Size: One of the largest frog species in the world. Males can grow up to 9 inches (23 cm) long and weigh over 2 pounds (1 kg). Females are much smaller.
Aggressive Defenders: Males are known for being aggressive, especially during breeding season. They will fight off rivals and defend their territory fiercely.
Voracious Appetite: They eat almost anything they can overpower—insects, small rodents, birds, reptiles, and even other frogs.
